Pamela Adie
Biography
Pamela Adie is a Nigerian activist, filmmaker, producer, and LGBTQ+ rights advocate whose work focuses on increasing the visibility and inclusion of lesbian, bisexual, and queer women in Nigeria. She is the Executive Director of The Equality Hub, an organization dedicated to advancing the rights and wellbeing of lesbian, bisexual, and queer women. She previously worked as a senior campaign manager at All Out, a global LGBTQ+ rights organization.
Adie brought her advocacy into filmmaking with Under the Rainbow (2018), a documentary exploring her experience of coming out and living as an out lesbian in Nigeria. She later produced ìfé (2020), a Nigerian short film directed by Uyaiedu Ikpe-Etim about two women who fall in love and navigate the realities of a same-sex relationship in Nigeria.
In 2026, Adie directed ìfé: The Sequel, a feature film that reunites former lovers Ife and Adaora years after their separation. The film had its world premiere at BFI Flare in London in March 2026, marking another significant expansion of Adie's work as both a filmmaker and advocate.
