Oya Noire
Biography
Oya Noire is a Haitian-American singer and songwriter from Brooklyn, New York. Her musical influences include gospel, jazz, rhythm and blues, and contemporary soul. She developed her musical foundation through Gospel for Teens before pursuing a career as a recording and performing artist.
Noire released her self-titled debut album, Oya Noire, in 2018. Her recorded catalog includes singles released between 2017 and 2026, including “Slow Down,” “Sugar Honey Iced Tea,” “Hunnid Band$,” “Meet Me In The Middle,” and “just met a girl.”
In a 2020 interview, Noire described herself as a queer Haitian-American artist and discussed using her creative platform to encourage people to embrace who they are.
