Natasha Cloud
Biography
Natasha Cloud is an American professional basketball player and activist from Broomall, Pennsylvania. She was selected by the Washington Mystics in the second round of the 2015 WNBA Draft after playing at the University of Maryland and Saint Joseph's University. She spent her first eight WNBA seasons with Washington and helped the team win its first WNBA championship in 2019.
Cloud has combined her professional basketball career with social justice advocacy. She opted out of the 2020 WNBA season to focus on racial justice and community activism, using her public platform to advocate for racial equality, gun-violence prevention, and other social justice issues.
Cloud has also spoken publicly about her bisexual identity. In 2020, she described herself as a bisexual woman and discussed her experience of becoming more open about her sexuality. Her public advocacy has included support for LGBTQ+ visibility and representation.
After Washington, Cloud played for the Phoenix Mercury in 2024 and the New York Liberty in 2025. She signed with the Chicago Sky in 2026 and currently plays guard for the team.
