Danielle Moodie
Biography
Danielle Moodie began her career in education and public policy before moving into strategic communications and independent media. Her early work included education advocacy, public policy, and political communications, establishing the connection between politics, racial justice, education, and advocacy that continues to shape her career.
Moodie developed her voice in independent media through Politini, a politics and pop-culture program she co-created and hosted with Aisha Moodie-Mills. She later became known for #WokeAF Daily and #democracyish, using political commentary and conversation to examine race, democracy, culture, sexuality, and systems of power.
Moodie is the founder and CEO of DAM Media Strategies and host of The Danielle Moodie Show. She has spoken openly about being a Black lesbian woman and has consistently brought that perspective to conversations about race, gender, sexuality, political power, and social justice. Her career spans education, advocacy, political communications, and independent media, positioning her as a Black queer voice in contemporary political and cultural commentary.
