Biography
Adaku Utah is a Nigerian American healing justice practitioner, somatics practitioner, multidisciplinary artist, educator, and facilitator whose work explores the connections between embodiment, creativity, ancestral knowledge, and collective liberation. Through movement, ritual, performance, and community practice, Utah creates spaces that support healing, resilience, and transformative social change.
Utah is the founder of Harriet's Apothecary, a healing justice collective centering Black cisgender women, femmes, and gender-expansive people. Their work spans workshops, performances, artist residencies, and educational programs that integrate embodied practice into movements for racial and social justice. As a nationally recognized speaker, facilitator, and artist, Utah continues to bridge art, healing, and activism, encouraging communities to view collective care as an essential part of sustainable liberation.
